APUSH Summer Preview Class

To most students, APUSH (AP U.S. History) is the bane of their existence. A plethora of reading notes, coupled with DBQ’s and FRQ’s, sprinkled with assessments, provides for a very intimidating experience. Yet, in our increasingly technologically-oriented education, the study of history remains vital. The skills learned while studying history, such as source analysis and writing cohesive arguments and so many more, are important tools to master throughout a student’s entire educational career. Colleges are looking to ensure that students have an adequate, established foundation in the humanities, and properly learning U.S. history is one way to set foot on that path.
In this course, students will cultivate their understanding of U.S. history from c. 1491 CE to the present through analyzing historical sources and learning to make connections and craft historical arguments as they explore concepts like American and national identity; work, exchange, and technology; geography and the environment; migration and settlement; politics and power; America in the world; American and regional culture; and social structures.

She is very familiar with remote and online teaching/learning.
